Mariana S. Velykodna is a specialist in Practical Psychology since 2009 and a PhD in Psychological Sciences since 2013. From 2013 till now she works as a senior lecturer in the Department of Practical Psychology in Kryvyi Rih Pedagogical Institute of SIHE "Kryvyi Rih National University". Before this position she had expirience to work as a practical psychologist in the children garden for both healthy children and children with disabilities, as a volunteer psychologist in the sanatorium for children with bone tuberculosis, as a supervisor for trainers which worked with street children in the NGO "Nashe maybutne".

As a reseacher Mariana Velykodna studies personal psychology of gender development and universal phenomena of the psychotherapy.

As a Russian-speaking and Ukrainian-speaking psychotherapist Dr. M. Velykodna works with male and female adults both in an individual and in a group therapy. The main theoretical approach, which she uses, is depth psychology; the main practical approach is linguistic psychotherapy. She uses a number of methods: psychoanalysis, schizoanalysis, psychodrama, symboldrama, emotional imaginative therapy, art-therapy etc. The choice of concrete method depends on the client's problem. Additionally, Dr. M. Velykodna has a specialization as a psychological sexologist.

Mariana S. Velykodna is married with Sergii V. Velykodnyi and has a son Artemii.
